Nintendo Co. retained its lead in U.S. video-game console sales with 721,000 Wii players purchased in stores last month, according to NPD Group Inc. Retailers sold 262,000 Xbox 360 consoles by Microsoft Corp. in March and 257,000 of Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 3. Sales of games rose 63 percent, Port Washington, New York-based NPD said today in an e-mailed statement.

Once again, the Wii thrashed everyone. The X360 only barely squeaked past the PS3, and if supply constraints have lifted, this looks bad for Microsoft.

Freakin' Wii is still selling like crazy. Out of nowhere today in the mall I thought its about time I got myself a wii.

Sold out.

I head to Wallmart right next to it.

Sold out.

I head to Gamestop right next to it.

Sold out.

Well screw it. Ps2 still sold just as much crazy back in the days but Sony always manufactured enough units, maybe that's why the PS2 will probably be the most sold home console we'll ever witness in our lifetime. I'm not buying a wii until I see one of shelf, and I don't care if it takes me beating FF13 to see one.

And yeah, PS3 should go over X360 as the days come closer by.
