Storage Solutions MBP HDD replacement

guys,
I have a 2010 MacBook Pro, whose HDD conked off recently. I am looking for a HDD replacement. I don't need a lot of storage and even 250 GB would do. Any suggestions? Would you recommend an SSD for an older laptop such as this; would there be a noticeable improvement in speed with an SSD?

guptaji go eyes closed for a ssd. any model will work just fine... if u can manage a samsung evo however that will be great if ur on a budget go for crucial mx100 / i just upgraded to a 250 evo on my wifes mbp and it feels like a new machine. bump the ram to 8gb while ur at it :)

best would be primeabgb from their website directly (or head over to their shop in lamington road) - primeabgb.com or their own ssd website onlyssd.com
or from flipkart - anything from them directly WS Retail.

prime def has the best prices for ssd, even though they retail everywhere /ebay /fk etc .. their cheapest rates r from their own website
also just do a google check online for ram prices. and if u have coupons or deals going then use it for buying it.. or just call prime for both .. im sure they will give u a good price, they even home deliver at a minimal charge.. see their website for more info[DOUBLEPOST=1407565256][/DOUBLEPOST]and make sure u have a pentalobe torx screw driver + a philips 00 size for opening that mac hahaha :)
