Monitors monitor dark on the left side (L2461x)

[font=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]Hi mates, I have a [/font]L2461x monitor (product link given below​

). the problem is that left half of the monitor is darker than the right side (check out the picture i took of the screen). the monitor has an external power adapter which is not of lenovo brand but a chinese brand Hipro, could it be the adapter's fault? or there is something wrong with the monitor? i bought this monitor from ebay US and i dont think sending it back is an option for me. though the monitor is still under warranty (valid till 2013) but I am not sure if Lenovo India will honor this warranty.​

The left half of your backlight is dead.

Getting a replacement backlight will be difficult.

The backlight is tightly integrated with the LCD panel, so you also need someone capable of disassembling the delicate LCD panel and fixing it.

Ask Lenovo India if they will be willing to repair it.

Lenovo doesn't make any power adapters. Hipro is an OEM supplier of SMPS units to manufacturers like Lenovo.
