Square-Enix will reveal more about Murdered: Soul Suspect, its mystery game about a ghost investigating his own murder, at E3 next week. As Ronan O'Connor, a corporeal dead dude who can't speak with the living, you'll interrogate ghosts and read the still-alive minds of citizens to discover the details behind your death.
Murdered appears to draw from other investigative games such as Ghost Trick (in which you also try to find your own killer), but features plenty more "battling demonic spirits" and noir themes. Set in Salem, Mass., expect Murdered to draw from the witch trials of historical infamy.
Murdered is tentatively slated for a 2014 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Look for IGN's first impressions of Murdered later this week.
