Hi Friends,

What is your intended use for this PC/hardware?
  1. I'm not a pro in video & photo editing but i tried to do the some of complex, batch flows & would like to see the results quickly.
  2. I'm mostly in arcade car racing games mostly & again reliable response in gaming so that i can improve my gaming skills the important aspect.
  3. I don't prefer laptops because i need the flexibility in upgrading.
Budget & where will you buy this hardware?~1Lakh excluding monitor @Bangalore
Are you looking to overclock?No
Which hardware component are you looking to buy? Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO AMD B550
Processor: Ryzen 5 3500 Gen3
RAM: G. skill rjpaws DDR4 3600MHz 16GB

GPU: ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8GB - The overwhelming # of manufactures like MSI, ASUS, Inno3d put me in a cognitive freeze! So i just went with ASUS & it had reasonable config.

SSD: WD Blue 500GB
HDD: Wester digital Blue 2TB SATA

Cabinet: Cooler Master MB520 RGB - i don't need any RGB really. But couldn't find a reasonable one better than this.
PSU: Corsair VS Series VS550

Mouse & keyboard: Logitech G402, Corsair Strafe
UPS - APC Any basic model.

Possibly an upgrade only after 3-4 years.

The industry is moving so fast & hard to really understand the key differences. Feel free to comment if you see any stupid choices i've made.

Thanks in advance

Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO AMD B550
Get a cheaper motherboard, under 10k or around it.If you do not plan to overclock, B450 motherboard will do the job.
Asrock steel legend, Msi B450 Tomahawk Max , etc.

Processor: Ryzen 5 3500 Gen3
Invest in better processor.May be a Ryzen 5 3600.

G. skill rjpaws DDR4 3600MHz 16GB
something like corsair vengence 3200 Mhz will do just fine, you will not see noticeable difference.

GPU: ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8GB
Good option.

SSD: WD Blue 500GB
go for 1TB m.2 ssd / 1TB SATA SSD.
Like intel 660p or crucial P1 1Tb / samsung 970 evo plus
500 GB not enough these days if you plan to play games.

PSU: Corsair VS Series VS550
get a Corsair CX650.

Cabinet: Cooler Master MB520 RGB - i don't need any RGB really. But couldn't find a reasonable one better than this.
Coolermaster MASTERBOX MB511,same Cabinet with front mesh and without RGB.

you can reconsider psu .550 it is good choice ,should be enough but on the edge get 600 or 650.

IDK what you priority for the system is Editing or gaming.

Regarding motherboard people are correct with respect to oc part.
But when you say results to be quick for video/photos batch. Get better SSD two if possible one for c drive and another for adobe scratch disk

Go for b550 only if you are going to use pcie 4.0 SSD and really going to move tons of files.

And RAM get 16gb x 2 adobe recommends 32 gb for 1080p and 64 for 4k .

Single RAM stick with dual ranks are better than those 8 gb modules at some closcks ,some dual ranks are so good that they out perform higher clocked single rank rams .RYZEN loves RAM

Thanks folks & the responses helped in closing out the purchase. Posting the details in case it helps others. I think there is a lot of margin for negotiation & had to make few adjustments because of the availability and there was a lockdown restrictions were planned from today on-wards in Bengaluru.

Can i ask , what will you do with x570 chipset?
What is the point of putting a pentium processor in a Crosshair Motherboard?

Based on the suggestion here went with a single stick of 16GB & will upgrade later if needed
Buy 2x8GB instead of 16Gb single stick to get the dual channel working.

BTW congrats on your build.Enjoy

Thanks @smiryadav! You're right, it wasn't a great choice. I'll add one more 16Gb stick later & thanks for suggesting that. I'll upgrade processor later so I didn't feel that ROI for investing additional money for Ryzen 5 3600. Also was reading that there will be new processor announcements & will take its time to reach India. Last machine I assembled during 2011, I'd hit a ceiling point in upgrades mainly due to the motherboard. Along with that AFAIK, B550 is mostly B450 made for OEM, along with that PCIe 4 on x570 & with comparable cost of integrated WiFi+BT B550 boards I'd to trade off in favor of motherboard.

The suggestion for a better processor was based on the fact that you have mentioned, that you will not be upgrading for 3-4 years .
Also ,since you do not want to OC the rig, there was no need for a better motherboard than b450 for a ryzen 5 3500.
The reason being;x570,b550 will be an overkill for a r5 3500 non OC and with no PCI 4 device.
