Though use PC for everyday work, not very knowledgeable in intricacies of choosing a system. So need your help in getting a Desktop assembled. Have been a Intel user for all these years, so not very sure of AMD

Requirements as follows

1. Q: What is your budget?

Around 30K. Can stretch to max 35K (inclusive of VAT)

2. Q: What is your existing hardware configuration (component name - component brand and model) N/A

3. Q: Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model) N/A

4. Q: Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component

Maybe 2 years from now. Not sooner !

5. Q: Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)

Bangalore. Need help in choosing an assembler and also a place to buy stuff. Computer warehouse seems overpriced !

6. Q: Would you consider buying a second hand hardware from the TE market : No

7. Q: What is your intended use for this PC/hardware

1. Browsing

2. Image Processing

3. 3D modelling - Engineering Design

3. Watching movies

4. Music - May think of rigging nice 5.1 speakers if readily available, within budget (Or else have old and faithful ATP3)

8. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.

Biased towards Intel as I have used their products all along

9. Q: If you will be playing games then which type of games will you be playing?

Racing

10. Q: What is your preferred monitor resolution for gaming and normal usage

Don't like the new age 'Wide' monitors. Prefer standard old sizes like 19", 21" etc

11. Q: Are you looking to overclock?

Dont know what this is !

12. Q: Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?

Windows 7 - Confused whether to use 32 bit or 64 bit

Many Thanks

Thanks Guys.
In the first config there is no dedicated GPU. Any particular reason for that ?
And if I want a 5.1 channel out of this system, anything I need extra ?
Sorry if I am sounding inane :S
