Linux Need help with installing ATI Proprietary drivers on Ubuntu 10.04

I need to know how to install the following dependencies required for installing proprietary ATI drivers on Ubuntu 10.04

XFree86-Mesa-libGL

libstdc++

libgcc

XFree86-libs

fontconfig

freetype

zlib

gcc

Ubuntu installs the catalyst 10.6 by default as of now. I am hoping that the newer 10.9 catalyst will provide a better HD Video playback. The dependencies are not there in the repos but required as per the installation read-me from ATI.

BTW in case you think it will do me no good, just say so, so that I would know.

Oh no. I think there is some bug. I added a bump but when I clicked "post", the original Post got repeated with the bump. It became a double post. I think I edited the second post but the first one got edited. I swear I am not drunk.

Ohh...Anyway....what's the problem with dependencies..?? Ubuntu resolves all those and installs automatically which are not installed.

Actually Ubuntu installs the catalyst 10.6 by default as of now. I am hoping that the newer 10.9 catalyst will provide a better HD Video playback. The dependencies are not there in the repos but required as per the installation read-me from ATI.
