Need suggestion for buying a decent headset (PC)

Need your help in buying a decent headset (with mic) for my PC, primary use is skype/gtalk calls and watching technical videos.
My Budget is <1500.

Headsets are a terrible buy. They are very prone to breaking and have terrible sound quality compared to similar priced headphones. My suggestion would be to get a separate headphone and a separate microphone, You'll get far better quality and reliability for the same price.
