My Suggestion:-

Components Description Price

Processor AMD Athlon II X4 635/ AMD Athlon II X3 440 4400/3300

Reasons :

You can also go with AMD AthlonII X3 440 @ 3.3k. It has good success rate of unlocking.

Get GA-880GMA-UD2H instead of MSI 880GM-E41. It has has SATA3 6gbps, USB 3.0 and good integrated graphic.

Sapphire 512MB DDR5 HD5670 instead of Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 1GB. If you cant get hold of the 512MB card(out of stock in most of the places), pay Rs. 500 extra and then grab HIS IceQ 512MB GDDR5 @ 5k from PurnamTech. 3 years warranty. VFM. Much better deal than HD4670.

Dell IN2020 instead of Dell 1709W. Benq G2220HD ~ 7.7k if you want to go full HD.

@OP - U got RAM prices terribly wrong :p The Corsair 2GB costs 1.3k now.

I way advice u to stick with X3 440 ~ 3.4k and try unlocking it. Try getting a Giga 880GMA-UD2H/ MSI 880GMA-E45. But if u feel USB 3.0 is of no use to you then stick with the MSI 880GMA-E41.

Try to squeeze in a 22" monitor like the Benq G2220HD ~ 7.6k if u watch lots of HD stuff.

$ht - 4GB DD3 was what I had in mind to type :p

Oke ,

-X3 440 - Unlock for a Athlon 4 core

-ATM USB 3.0 isnt really going to help things to keep the highly budgeted build under control

-Also I want to game at decently high fps so stuck with a normal monitor with a so-so gpu.

Thank you XTM and DA - DA do you think I can go with what XTM has suggested ? I'm really not into getting HD stuff - since once I start gaming and it lags - Pisses me off a lot .

Q1- How effecient is the X3 440 when unlocked ? Unlock X3 440 - Does seem like unlocking is the way to go. Have there ever been any problems once unlocked ?

Also - I have a small question - Is there any way I can bring in a non-eol intel based rig which fits in the budget and gives the same performance compared to the AMD based variant ?

Yes...

Intel Core i3 540 - 5100

Gigabyte H55M-S2 - 3500

This rig wud perform better than Athlon X3(If the athlon x3 wont unlock into x4) and as it has core i3 processor so it will consume less power...

Core i3 also performs better in gaming than Athlon x3

But i wud suggest u to go wid the rig XTM has suggested it wud b a bit futureproof than the Rig i suggested ;)

Or wait for Entrylevel Sandy Bridge Processors till february...

Guys from the looks of it , this is what I've arrived on at the moment -

AMD Athlon X3 440 ~3.5k

880GM-E41 ~4k / Gigabyte 880GMA~4.2k (ex-blore)

Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 ~3.5k

Sapphire Radeon HD5670 512MB ~4.5k

Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM~1.7k

Coolermaster 430 ~2.5k

Dell 1709W~ 5.5k

LG G22HNS50~.8k

I'm going to get this on wednesday of this month , Is there anything which I can tweak /squeeze in /replace for getting a better VFM rig ?

TY to all those who have replied

Man for the cabinet I would suggest you go for a NZXT Gamma cause it has a much better airflow and cleaner interior than the Cooler Master Elite 430 apart from that RIG by XTM and DarkAngel is awesome :), if you need a few reviews to check the differences here they are --

Yup. Even I prefer NZXT Gamma to other cabinets in that price range. And yes, go with DELL IN2020 @ 6.5k instead of Dell 1709W. VFM. And again, GA-880GMA-UD2H is 4.8k not 4.2k.. You're getting the prices terribly wrong. :p

As Xtech says get a 20" monitor. Money can be saved by going for Corsair 4GB value Rams @ 2.55k onstead of XMS3 kit. 17" is too small IMHO.

TY Alpha - The Gamma costs about 2.75k in SP Road right now , thats why I'm sticking with the CM 430 || If I get the gamma for 2.2k I'd take it :) I like the gamma's internals , but its FAIL when it comes to the front panel , Its like some flimsy triangular stuff sticking to the front :| (No offense to gamma lovers) - the wire management on the gamma is faaaaaar superior than that of the elite 430 that is making me lean towards the gamma again - i guess i'll decide in the shop ....

hmm oke 2.5k on value rams and 20" monitor - seems like a good idea - but it wont lag right on the 20" on maxxed out settings ? thats the only thing which is going through my mind . BTW is the 2020 a HD Ready Monitor? or is it just an LCD ?

So far this is how the config looks like ?

I think Golccha stocks it for around 2.2K ~ 2.5K but on the front pael I actually prefer the slightly less tight fit of the NZXT cabinets as they come of easily and you don't feel like you are about to break your own cabinet into pieces, unlike my SCOUT where every time I try to clean my foward dust filters I'm afraid I might damage the unit more than anything :) rest apart your config is Great for sub 30K :eek:hyeah:

and can't say enough the DP is awesome :)
