I know this is old news but for those who dont know it

Nero Digital to be implemented in the coming Mediatek chipsets !

We mentionned that early this year ... Nero Digital is available since december 2004 and stands as the direct competitor of Divx6 , which we have been presenting recently, although its release has been delayed (original release was planned for march).

Let us share the newest Press release of Nero. The agreement which takes place might change things...again ! Whereas Divx6 is already announced to be compatible with many divx standalone players , granting it the status of standard de facto, there are hardly two players compatible with Nero Digital : the Siemssen SCO 5000 ND and recently Kiss DP-558 (although its compatibility is far from perfect).

The implementation of Nero Digital Technology in the most sold DivX decoding chipsets on the market, i.e. Mediatek (see our poll) might influence seriously the battle which takes place between both actors : Nero and Divx Networks...
