:-Thanks! this looks like a good config. Will there be much of a difference if i go with i5 6400 and GT950? I'll save few bucks as ill need that to get good gaming mouse.

:- Seasonic PSU is not available here locally, will it be ok to order online(amazon)? Same goes for Circle cabinet!

:-How is ANTEC GX200 cabinet & Antec VP550P 550 Watts PSU?Both are readily available here.

Oh this is good though price seems a bit on the higher side for what it offers, especially for 750Ti. Also wont get any preinstalled OS with that!

I'll keep this rig for at least next 3-4 years so dont think 750Ti will be at this point a very good choice. what do you say??

PSU - you can order from mdcomputers.in
They have good service and considerably competitive prices.
Antec GX200 is a good case. You might just want to check how many fans it has. The Circle one has 3 red 120 mm led fans. 2 in the front, 1 in the back for exhaust and grid on the top if you want 2 extra exhaust fans on the top or a liquid cooler radiator.

About the GPU - GT950 won't perform that good. The RX470 is much better future proof and vfm than 950.
If you are thinking of getting a 950, I again will suppport an RX460 instead.
But the RX470 will give you a much better price: performance ratio and bump.

i5 6400 and i5 6500 are comparable but definitely, the 6500 is much powerful and worth spending the 1.5k extra.

Also I want to tell you that these are not dug up prices. You can definitely find cheaper options. Like right now, the processor i5 6500 is available for 15.3k @mdcomputers!

Yesterday went to couple of local shopwala and almost everything seems over priced here .

i5 6400 is for 14.9k whereas i5 6500 for 17k

They told me GX200 has scope for only 2 fans. Circle is not available here, not a single shop has it.

GT9500 (asus) is for 15.5 k . None of the shopwala can get me any of the ATI card.They were literally pushing me to get GT960 instead which is for 18k. now in this case what do you suggest me? Rashi dominates the market in my city!

Should i get all the stuff through online and get it assembled, will that be a sensible move?Given the high price here and lack of availability of most products.
 
Yeah going online won't be a problem. I've got all my parts online.
And in case of processor, probably you won't be needing any warranty, coz Intel! So better to save bucks by ordering online.
GPU - GTX960 has gotten old and though it will hold on to whatever you throw on it, but the RX470 will give immense performance boost at nearly same price point. Plus 8gb DDR5 and Vulkan support, so you get a good future proof component.

The cabinet too you can order online. Also browse through mdcomputers.in and primeabgb.com

If you are worrying on the warranty of the GPU, you can register the product online on the manufacturers website, which will give you an all India hassle free warranty.

Definitely. Warranty should not be an issue if you get from reputed sellers.
But my experience was a bit different here in Pune. I made the list of all components I needed here on TE with members' inputs, noted the best prices I could find online for each component and then went to the local shops. They matched most of the prices and discounted others so finally I ended up saving a few hundred bucks overall and got it assembled from them as well.

Thanks buddy but i cant stretch my budget beyond 55k, so ill have to curtail down on few things!
Also, i dont think i'll need a Z170 mobo which will cost me more than 10k. i need a decent budget mobo as i wont be over clocking.

Please suggest if i have gone with right items or need to make some changes.

Few important things:-
1 - How are antec psu and cabinets? locally only this is the decent brand available. Will it be wise and safe to order both psu and cabinet online? i dont want to pay too much for the courier service.

2 - Only seagate 5400 HDD is available here which costs around 3.7k . should i purchase it online, will it be safe? if possible please provide me the link.

3- 9K total for both psu and cabinet. I'll be left with another 3-4k, would like to know on which item i can use this amount.

4- how is SteelSeries Rival 100 62341 Optical Gaming Mouse? (2.8k)

I will suggest you to get a RX470 rather than RX460, the RX460 is bare minimum on 1080p gaming.
The RX470 will be decent enough and will handle all games (till 2016) easily. The bump you get will be worth all your money.


1) Antec builds good psu but then you will have to choose carefully. Cabinets are good too. There is no worry in ordering online. You can get the things online hassle free, and generally at a quite reasonable rate and free delivery.

2) 5400 RPM harddisk will be slower. Get something around 7200RPM, and it will be costing the same. WD and Seagate generally have a national warranty. So that won't be a problem.

3) Add those 3-4k to the graphics card and get the RX470.

Few things:-
1 - Going with the Asus mobo instead of that gigabyte one which you suggested
2- Will 8GB ram be enough?i was thinking of 16GB since i am not planning to spend any more on this PC at least for the next 2-3 years.
3- Mobo which i have finalized supports only 2133 DDR4 ram so will the Ram with 2400MHz work on it smoothly?

Oh man you a saviour
As you've suggested and since my budget will allow me so will be going with RX470 which will cost me around 18.5 for the sapphire brand. Is that fine?

Can you please provide me links to some online site from where i can get the HDD or at least for reference so that i can ask the local guy for the same.

Edit:- Which 2133MHZ (supported by mobo) DDR4 ram will be better - Kingston , Gskills or Corsair?

If you are solely going to play on 1080p, then this card will give you more performance and is more energy efficient then RX470.

8gb will be enough unless you do a lot of multitasking. But you can put another stick of 8gb anytime. But if you really want to be future proof, then surely go for 16gb.

No probably, you will have to find a 2133MHz RAM. The Ram speeds should be supported by the mobo.

Tell me which one is more bangs for the bucks and will last me longer: RX470 or GTX 1060 3GB?

Yes i was able to find hyperX fury DDR4 rams at a reasonable price on few of the online websites including amazon.in . will probably get those .

I dont think will be doing a lot of multitasking. I need ram for normal surfing, youtube video's and of course gaming.

Ok so sticking to 2133MHz DDR4 ram (hyperX fury)
 
For the time being in DirectX11 GTX1060 is much faster than RX470 but in DirectX12 gaming titles using Vulkan API which are currently released RX470/480 are much faster than GTX1060. The future belongs to DirectX12 and Vulkan API.

The GTX1060 hardware itself is not optimised at all for Vulkan API where as AMD RX Gpu architecture is optimised for DirectX12 & Vulkan API.

So in DirectX12 gaming titles like Ashes of Singularity, Doom & Hitman RX series gpus are ahead in performance compared to GTX10 Series gpus.

As for RAM is concerned Corsair has 10 years warranty compared to 5 year warranty of Kingston.

Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB 2400Mhz DDR4 runs in its default speed of 2133Mhz only.
2400Mhz XMP speed is 2400Mhz which can be enabled only in Z170 motherboards.

H110, B150 series motherboards all run in 2133Mhz DDR4 speed only.

As for HDD's are concerned dont go with Seagate Hard Disks as they are prone to bad sectors much easily and their service is bad in India.

Go with WD Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM @ 3.5k available at mdcomputers.in
WD Hard Disks are more reliable and trustworthy regarding their service is concerned in India.

WD provides 3 years warranty on its Blue series Hard Disks.

@Aniruddh , I would like to point some things on this RX470 vs GTX1060 3gb

GTX1060 is faster and will generally give better frames in nearly all the games @1080p high or ultra settings.
Unless and until the games are specifically optimized for AMD (which are few)

GTX1060 has 3gb RAM whereas the RX470 has 4gb. If you don't mind HD textures and some games with some settings off, then GTX1060 won't give any problem but at that point RX470 will shine.

Also Vulkan, this is a newer api which is much more adapted by AMD, so if Vulkan is available in a game, it will perform better on an AMD.

But to add to the dilemma, there are few Vulkan supported games uptil now. But probably all the future games which are to be released will be giving this option and it will definitely improve gaming experience.

All in all, IMO if you are to game for next 2 years, I'll suggest you to go with GTX1060
Else go with the RX470

I hope am not totally confusing you!

Expect the unexpected

Before placing the order i called mdcomputers( kolkata) in the morning to enquire and to my surprise the person on the phone told me Sir we have mdcomputer shop in raipur, you can get it from there itself and all the price will be same as shown in our website :D

Went there and finalised the following config :-
1 - I5 6500 - 15200
2 - MSI 150 Pro VDH - 6800
3 - 8GB Corsair DDR4 2400MHz ram - 2900
4 - Seagate 1TB SSHD - 5200 ... now this is something new to me. this is not exactly SSD, but according to him much better than WD blue 7200 or Seagate Surveillance 7200
5 - SEASONIC M12II-520 EVO SMPS (modular) - 5600 :D
6 - Sapphire RX470 GPU - 17000 :D : Did akkad bakkad bambe boo and chose this one and not Zotac GT1060 3GB
7 - Corsair Spec 3 Cabinet - 4300
8 - Logitech G302 mouse - 1600
9 - DVD-RW LG - 900

Total - 59500 ... Went above my budget by 5k but its ok as i am not compromising much on anything!

I'd like someone to throw light on this SSHD HDD, never heard of it before.
