I just upgraded my phone to Nougat 7.1.2 based AIM rom. All the notification led that was available for messaging, missed calls, other apps, etc has stopped. I searched xda forums and everyone seems to have the problem no matter what 7.x rom they are using.
Some roms have an additional setting under pulse notifications, but it was not there in mine.
I tried various notification led apps and all of them failed. One worked partially. It gave the first notification led and after that it stopped. So seems somewhere in the rom there is some aggressive behaviour that is stopping apps from using notification leds. Do notification led's consume so much power that even they have to be curtailed? This is some stupid mind boggling programming on google's part imo.
