Hi,

I've an old Philips 4:3 15-incher LCD and its very high time I got a bigger screen. Please suggest an 18-inch or higher LCD monitor. I would be connecting only to my PC through VGA cable. Mainly for watching movies, general browsing & usage. No gaming. Budget 5K-10K. How are the eBay.in Deals of this week models?

Regards,

Bala

The Dell quotes that you got are inflated... You can get cheaper deals from inhouse TE dealers like theitwares.com, mediahome.in or Lynx... Not sure about the prices in Hyderabad, in Delhi a Samsung 20" costs 6500 and a Samsung 22" Full HD will cost you 8500...

Query around with local dealers.. Makes no sense buying from Dell at those rates...

From my latest research on lamington road, mumbai 20-inch monitors should cost you between 6500-6800. (dell/samsung)

you can get a decent 19 inch for around 6,500 all of them are around this price, but look at the bezels, and see which one you like better...

20 inchers are a bit more expensive, 22" are a bit more than 10K unfortunately, but if you hut around, you might get lucky.

what video card dod you have btw, and how much ram, cuz running a big screen on small ram size and crappy gfx card will be make windows lag.
