OC & Modding Occt?

Most of you guys use Prime95/SuperPI to check for OC stability.
How many of you use this one OCCT?
One thing I noticed was, the "test" option in this program fails in just a couple of minutes on a particular oc when the same thing failed after about 4 hrs on Prime. Any info on how it works? Searched in google, but could not find more info about the author or how it works internally.
 
the test thingy runs for half hour.. tried it on my intel (minor oc) no problems.. no clue what it does , only thing shown on screen is the cpu usage which is around 98%
 
I have started using OCCT since a few days.

OCCT lasts for like 30Mins.

Intially the tests dont utilize the cpu to 100% and then after like 5%
of the test completion the CPU is utilised to like 98% l8er at the end like 99%
the cpu utilization is further reduced.

I use it when i OC at extreme limits or when i dont have time to prime
for eg when i am ocing at like 310~320HTT then i use occt as i dont have
that much time to run prime for hrs.

Also currently when i am running my new test settings 290HTT @ 1.408Vcore
i am running OCCT.

I've read posts at overclock.net where it is mentioned that for a OC to be stable, the test should either be a Prime for 6 hrs or else OCCT for just 2 hrs.
 
It crashed my pc after 15 mins of stability testing. My OC was prime stable for say five hrs. When i checked in event viewer it was due to some ATI driver error. So im guessing it just doesnt test only ur cpu during the stability test.
