Product details:

These came with my ASUS motherboard.
These are SATA III 6-Gbit/s cables which I don't need as I am not using any SSD or high speed HDD.
The difference between sata2 and sata3 cable is very clear in case you're using ssd.
SATA III has a better physical connection. Don't rely on 10-50Rs SATA2 cables for your SSD.
Device and mobo support SATA 3 - use of SATA 2 cable will result in 3GB/s
Device and mobo support SATA 3 - using a SATA 3 cable will get you the 6GB/s

FULL SATA III (3) specification support, up to 6Gb/s data transfer rate, for all SATA III capable hardware

Cable Length: 18 inches (45cm), standard size

Straight to right-angle connectors, for easy and convenient device connection

Latching clip on both ends for easy removal and secure attachment

Full high-quality copper wiring inside, for reliable and uncompromised hi-speed transfer rate and conductivity

Universal SATA connection for all hardware and devices, e.g. HDD, optical drives, SSDs, etc.

Backward forward compatible with SATA I and II specifications

RoHS Green compliant

There are two cables in the package. One right angled and one straight as you can see in the pictures.

Incase you're thinking I'm asking too much price, just goto ebay.in and search for SATA III 6-Gbit/s cables, you'll get Rs.1300 each cable.

Just FYI what you are saying is surely wrong. There are no special 6Gbps cables. Also eBay as reference is always overpriced. There items such as sata power cables were being sold for 200 bucks plus shipping :p

@vivek.krishnan

I don't have any SATA III device to test it myself for differences. If I search net, I find some places saying they are same cables as they are same connector, and some are saying these have better construction quality ensuring best speeds.

It maybe a marketing strategy of manufacturers to advertise SATA III cables.

In the case they have no differences then there would be a situation that every seller who sells SATA 3Gb/s cables will advertise it as SATA 6Gb/s cable to attract buyers. But noone is doing the same, and SATA 3Gb/s cables are under 50Rs in eBay and SATA 6Gb/s cables are over Rs1000. This makes me think..

i agree with vivek. there is no such thing as sata3 cables. any high quality cables will do the job just fine. i have tested them with my hyperx ssd and no difference is seen.

+ 1 with Vivek.. These are just some good quality SATA cables comes with ASUS mobo with SATA-III support.. There is Zero performace difference between Asus bundled Sata-II and Sata-III cable. Have tested them both with 2 x OCZ Sata_III SSDs in RAID 0
