We all know battery capacity worsens with time with charge/discharge cycles and laptop batteries usually die after 2 years. I am using a LG laptop (Gram, 2019) for close to a year now and LG had installed a software that stops battery charging at 80% ( I believe Lenovo, Asus etc. have similar software and few freeware are available for that purpose)
This small thing really helps in prolonging battery life considerably. My laptop`s battery life is still fantastic after close to a year and hopefully it will continue for another year or two.
However things are different with phones. I tend to charge them overnight and my last phone`s (Samsung A50) battery life degraded so much within a year that I had to buy another phone. Tried to find a similar app in Playstore but all the working ones ( as suggested by the comments) need root access.
Is there anything similar that can work without root? Now I am charging my phones during daytime and taking it out of the charger around 90%. This won`t be possible when normal life/work resumes.
