PC with a large enough budget

Hey guys,

My dad wants to buy a new desktop and at the moment he is only thinking of Dell.

Which Dell desktop is the best to customize and buy from Learn about Dell's notebooks, laptops, desktops, monitors, printers plus computer electronics & accessories. | Dell India

Are there any other desktops other than Dell which are worth buying?

Big no for branded desktops. Esp. For gaming desktops. You can assemble a more powerful desktop than a alienware at 60% of its cost.
 
Sometimes branded ones are better,esp when used by families as the chances of spills,etc are much higher.

So you can pay 50% more than the price you pay for assembled, but you get 3 years accidental damage guarantee and on site service, no hassles of going to dealer,etc for RMA.
 
Exactly if its for your Dad I'd recommend getting Dell as it has onsite warranty anything happens they come and take care of the service.

Also, mention your budget and what would the machine be used for.
 
It will mainly be used for heavy programming and data work and all... Also watching videos as well. Plus skype and all... Some video editing as well...

Budget is around 70K +/-10K

No gaming will be done on this PC.

Anyone? Help?
 
Hey buddy, a Dellâ„¢ Inspiron Desktop 580 with a 22" HD Monitor and 3 years complete accidental coverage will come for ~52000 and wiff suffice for all the requirements. A 5450 will be fine for Video Editing.

Though if you want to get a better card, you can go for a higher end 5xxx series.

I think though your budget is 70k, you can work it out for just 52k if there is no gaming. :)
