Pl Suggest a Wireless Router with long range...

Hi friends

I need a Wireless Router with good range. I have DLink Airplus G DI 524, but I loose pings sometimes when Im far on the ground floor.

My home is a slightly large Duplex house and I need a Wireless Router that can transmit good signal strength upto 5000 SqFt even when blocked by walls/floors...

Any suggestions...?
 
I would suggest getting a Buffalo. I doubt if you can get ANY router that can go through 5000 sft. The solution would be to get 2 routers with one of them acting as a repeater.
 
well...correction since the area is spread over 2 floors its not quite 5k sft at a stretch...

extra router as a repeater? Is this easy to setup...
 
Depending on if you are in a hurry or not, they are releasing next gen wireless in probably 3rd quarter this year. That means older technologies will likely come down in price. The new standard is called n... for example 811.g/811.n This is supposed to give stronger signals which will help add significant distance between wireless hardware, and increase speeds.
