This is better suited to your requirements.. A GTX960 is way superior to a GTX750ti.. Similarly an H81 motherboard is enough and without buying a branded cabinet, you could use the difference money towards a better GPU..[DOUBLEPOST=1427781967][/DOUBLEPOST]In fact, you don't even need a 550w PSU to power the system ..An antec 450p would be enough to power the system but a 550w would give you headroom to upgrade to a better card in the future.

my 2 cents;
since your usage is for gaming go for a better gpu even if it means getting a less powerful cpu.
IMO, i think it's better to spend a few extra thousand today for a gpu that you can game on for more years.
the 960 is pretty decent but i should mention that the 370x from amd is rumored to be launched in another 2 weeks. if that happens then the 960ti wouldn't be far behind it.

one more thing - i don't think the WD caviar blue is a 7200 rpm drive. i think only the black series are 7200 rpm drives from WD and they're good but quite pricey. seagate barracuda is the other option or you can get a caviar green and an ssd but i think that would be over your budget.

Caviar blue is a 7200RPM drive - 100% sure! Going by the pricing, the 960ti would be priced around 20k since it would be roughly faster than a 280x but obviously slower than a 970.

IMO, The 370x on the other hand should be nearly equivalent to a GTX 960 at around 1-2k lower price than what the 960 sells for.

@2kool2btrue ; you're right the caviar blue is 7200 rpm indeed. i was confusing the blue and purple drives - my bad.

Yes, the 960ti and 370x both will be pricey at launch (and out of OP's budget) but it could lead to lower prices on older models so one might get a 960 for less.
at the very least you have more choice.

p.s. i found this link where the 960 is going for about 14.3k. dunno about inno3d's warranty provider here though.

Just curious where did you find this monitor for 7500. Lowest i find is 8600 on flipkart and 8300 for snap deal
When i bought it 15 days back it was 7600 only, because they wanted to clear the stock. And @bssunil please don't call this an IPS monitor, I always slap myself when i realize theres another monitor with IPS display AOC i2276Vwn in the same price range which i could have bought :(
Now all New Stock, I wouldn't be surprised if its 8500 in the next 15days.

OP will game at 720p, so anything more than a 750Ti is an overkill right?
Not really. Even at 720p OP will have to turn down settings for games coming out this year. Imagine how it will perform in a year.
The 750ti's performance gets roughly halved at max settings and it's already borderline.
Paying 10k and still having to lower settings seems more of a waste than getting a quicker gpu. A 7850/270x class gpu would be considered as a good starting point for any gamer.
also, if his monitor is capable of 900p i'm sure OP will like to game at that res. I do :)
