Hi Every one,

I am planning to upgrade from a 7300 gt 512 MB card to either 9800 gt to Ati4850. I need a good psu that will be able to provide the required juice for the system.

Following are my pc config details:

Motherboard: Asus P5B-VM
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.8 GZ
Ram - Kingston 667 mgz 1 GB X 2
Hard Disk: 1 Samsung IDE 160 GB, 1 WD SATA 500 GB
Optical Drive: Samsung DVD Writer
Cabinet: Cooler Master Elite - 335
Monitor: AOC 416 V 24 inch (1920x1200)

My budget is 3 K. If possible I need something in 2.5k-3k range.
Thanks in advance guys. :)

what about Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 460 W??

extreme power psu's are mediocre at best and though it would handle 4850, i really wouldnt recommend it
Corsairs come with 5 years warranty as well, do note this point

I just bought Corsair VX450 for 4050.Rs and its superb with its efficiency and low noise level so my suggestion is GO FOR CORSAIR VX400 for ~3 but its worth the money because think the power you save in the long run due to its ~85% efficiency :hap2:
So don't try to save few 100 bucks now and loose so much through EB bill :p

i think i L go for the corsair vx 450.... although i L have to stretch my budget a bit more. by the way, will it b able to handle 4870 or gtx 260 incase I decide to go for it?

How is a POV BLACK DIAMOND 500W when it comes to a 4870 or something ?

Currently running a HD 4850 on a POV Black Diamond since 6 months. . no issues.
