Airtel Launches 4G Service In India
India’s mobile service provider Bharti Airtel on Tuesday became the first company to offer 4G sercices in India , launching the service in Kolkata . The service will be managed by Chinese telecom equipment maker ZTE .
The company will be launching 4G services in Bangalore in 30 days , with Huawei as network equipment vendor . The company also has 4G spectrum in Punjab and Maharashtra .
Airtel has announced 2 USB modems for 4G services priced at Rs 7750 and Rs 8000 . and 3 data plans , priced at 999 , 1399 and 1999 with 6GB , 9GB and 18GB respectively .All plans will have speed limited to 128Kbps ( slower than GPRS ! ) after FUP .

Nokia Announces 101 – its cheapest phone ever
Nokia has announced Nokia 103 which is the most affordable phone from them . Then Nokia 103 will cost €16 ( ~ Rs 1100 ) . The phone will pack a 1.36 inch Black and white display , anti scratch covers and dust resistance . It will measure 107.2mm x 45.1mm x 15.3mm and 77 grams weight . It will have 800mAh battery which can provide upto 27 days of standby and 11 hours of talk time . Other features include FM , flashlight etc. It will start selling in Nigeria initially and later expected globally.

Toshiba Unveils 7.7, 10 and 13 inch tablets running ICS
Toshiba has announced 3 Excite tablets with 7.7, 10 and 13 inch sized screens which will run Android 4.0 ICS with Nvidia Tegra 3 processors . The 7.7 inch model will launched next month , and Excite 7.7 and Excite 13 will be launching in June .
Excite 7.7 will challenge the Galaxy Tab 7.7 with its quad core Tegra 3 processor and identical 7.7 inch AMOLED screen with 1280x800 resolution . It will boast 1GB RAM, 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras , microUSB port and MicroSD card slot . The 16GB model will be priced at $499 and 32GB one at $579 .
The 10 inch Excite is similar to current Excite X10, but with Tegra 3 processor and ICS. Other specs are identical to 7.7 inch Excite, with addition of a full-sized SD card slot and a MicroHDMI port. The 10 inch LCD will have 1280x800 resolution. The tablet will be priced at $499 for 16GB , $ 529 for 32GB and $649 for 64GB models
The 13 incher tablet with 13.3 inch screen with 1600x900 resolution will be just 10.1mm thick and 2.2 pounds heavy. Apart from same features as 10 inch Excite, it will boast four SRS certified speakers and come with free tablet stand. It’s priced at $649 for 32GB model and $749 for 64GB one . All the tablets are Wi-Fi only.

Facebook To Buy Instagram for $1 billion
Facebook has announced that it will buy highly popular photo sharing app maker Instagram for $1 billion in cash and stock , the deal will close later this quarter.
Instagram which has only 13 employees based in San Francisco , closed a $50 million funding round last week , which valued the 2 year old company at $500 million .
Instagram application which is available for iPhone and Android devices lets users add effects to their images and share those photos with their friends. It has over 30 million users and gaining more since recent launch of Android app .

AOL selling 800 Patents To Microsoft in $1 billion Deal
Microsoft is buying around 800 patents from AOL for more than $1 billion . Microsoft refused to say what the patents cover. After the patent sale AOL will have around 300 patents .
