Rice university has announced a new initiative by which they want to publish opensource books in core subjects like physics,biology . They are funded by a number of private foundations. Text-books are free in file format but extra facilities like quizzes,videos,etc cost money. first textbooks, for physics and sociology, will be coming in March.

Apple is getting sued

Proview technology trademarked th ename iPad in Taiwan in 2000 and in mainland China in 2001 .They sued apple in 2011 , apple lost its cases in several chinese courts and it could be fined anywhere between $38 million to $1.6 billion.
