Anonymous Strikes Again
Anonymous hacked a law firm website that represented the U.S. Marine who led the 2005 Haditha massacre, which left 24 unarmed Iraqis dead. Anonymous released 3GB of sensitive documents Friday from the law firm that include records, testimony, trial evidence and donation records associated with the marine’s trial. Anonymous defaced the website and left a message. The ending of hte message was
“If you didn’t dig it then then you better dig it now. We are calling upon all allied battleships to rise up and make some mayhem. NDAA/PIPA/SOPA for real? The internet is ours for the taking, and we will destroy every corporation and government that attempts to stand in our way.â€

Firefox Web Push Notification System
This is something similar to Chrome desktop notification for Gmail IM. But this works without the need of the user to keep the browse tab open. Further these notifications can be pushed to their mobile devices (iOS or Android) .This would operate by a notification service hosted by mozilla or other company. They have also shown some sample Javascript API also.

Craigslist Donated $100,000 to Perl foundation .
Craigslist gets more than 30 billion views per month and it is mostly written in perl . So they wanted to give back to the community and dontaed $100,000 for Perl5 maintainence and general use for perl foundation .

Facebook is testing a new photoviewer which is almost similar to its rival Google + . Currently the comments are below the photo which makes the user ot leave the photo to comment on the photo. The newer one has Comments on the side makinng it easy to comment . They have tested an Ad version and Non - Ad version of the photo viewer

Google is following in the foot paths of twitter on Censorship issues. Recently twitter has changed its censorship form worldwide to county wise censorship. Google's blogging platform blogger is also following this path by redrecting users to their respective ccTLD so that they can effectively censor content according to the countries rules.

Supreme Court Rejects Pirate Bay founders appeal
Sweden's Supreme Court decided not to grant leave to appeal in the long-running Pirate Bay criminal trial.In November 2010, the lower court had found four of the founders of The Pirate Bay, guilty of criminal copyright infringement. Peter Sunde, AKA Brokep, faces 8 months in prison. Fredrik Neij, AKA TiAMO, faces 10 months. Businessman Carl Lundström has the lightest sentence of 4 months. All will have to pay their share of a combined 46 million Kronor (5.17€ million) in damages.the operators of Pirate Bay changed the domain name of their site from *.org to *.se to prevent seizure by the US Government.
