First Blow to MPAA & US Gov

Kim Dotcom has started replying to all the allegations put up by MPAA on him and his site.

MPAA has claimed that he himself has shared a 50 cent song .

Kim replies that he has purchased that song and shared it via private sharing to his CTO which is downloaded 0 times.

Next allegation is that Warner was not allowed to delete infringing files .

Kim replied that they have that feature voluntarily . Warner has reached their daily limit of 5000 deletions and after a request they were given 1,00,000 deletions per which they have never reached. Further he has shown numbers for the no of deletions by each company. Warner – 1,933,882 , Disney – 127,934 , RIAA – 17,108 .

He said that major companies wanted to work with them and also showed 5 emails from big media companies ,warner , Disney ,fox etc. Also US Military had over 15000 accounts with Megaupload and many have paid for premium facilities.

He also said that this move has weakened US technology leadership and this is the time for smaller countries to capture this potential. “We did nothing wrong. Watch out for our first motion in response to the MPAA-sponsored Department of Justice indictment. It will be enlightening and maybe entertaining,†Dotcom concludes.
