Google Integrates 70 Services

In Google official Blog they said that they will be integrating the privacy policies of all the 70 services they are offering into a singe policy . This means that if you even signed up to a single Google service you will be automatically signed up to remaining 69 services. Recently they also made it mandatory for all the new Gmail registrations to have a Google + account. Also they have recently rolled out a new search called Google Search Plus which integrates Google + results into the search results which are obviously biased. They are also combining the data from all the services thus hoping to give a more "personalized" feel to their services. Why such hasty decisions ? To defeat Facebook.

Okay for all those days of crying over SOPA / PIPA, I have further bad news ACTA has been ratified and signed by Poland today [26th January], immediately after this the websites of the Parliament of Poland and various government websites were subject to a concerted DoS attack. Over 39 countries have worked to put up this draconian law over our heads, India and Brazil have been active vocal opponents of this ACT, for more on ACTA --

Excerpt From a Mail I get Form an anti-sopa site

Hollywood thinks Congress is on their leash: Motion Picture Association of America President Chris Dodd just threatened to cut off Hollywood campaign contributions to any member of Congress who doesn’t pass his Internet-censorship legislation.

After Congress shelved the controversial PIPA and SOPA bills, Dodd told Fox News:

“Those who count on quote ‘Hollywood’ for support need to understand that this industry is watching very carefully who’s going to stand up for them when their job is at stake. Don’t ask me to write a check for you when you think your job is at risk and then don’t pay any attention to me when my job is at stake.â€

Opposition cannot just stop the lobbyists behind the US Parliament [the only vocal opponents of ACTA are India and Brazil and we don't have an intranet so if the US steps on the pressure they might as well snap the cables], so until the world is ready for widespread disruption of services in protest [much more severe than what happened for SOPA / PIPA], also the fact is people knew about SOPA / PIPA, the ACTA has been on since ~2008 between 40 countries and has been ratified by several countries [latest Poland] and there hasn't been a lot of hullabaloo about this one.

So ACTA literally might just go under the RADAR and will be enacted as a law in most of the developed world. Just my point of view, Cheers!!
