Facebook is rolling out their beta feature timeline into a release to all in the coming weeks. Whether you like it or not Timeline will be pasted on to the head of your profile. Timeline has a easy feature that allows you to browse to any month of your life and see what happened that month . On the negative side this can be done by anybody . So Facebook gave 7 days to review the posts and filter your posts . So that no one can see the update when you were drunk and forgot to delete it during the hangover. Also it has the ability to add life events like travel , learn a language or any other thing.

For those who want to add photos to their timeline at the exact date they were taken . There is an easier way thatn scrolling through hundreds of pages of shares likes and status updates. Shoebox is an iPhone app that lets you to add photos to you timeline at the specific data and also some basic editing and tagging also. Android version is also coming soon.

According to the Wall Street Journal Facebook may file its IPO as early as Wednesday. That means you can buy a part of Facebook and get the profit margin, Theoretically . Practically the IPO is for multi million companies to become partners of a multi billion company. The shares will be sold to selected companies only . Its just another way to raise millions of money.

Google has announced the reduction of age limit to register for their services from 18 years to 13 years . Google is trying to get the attention of the teenagers by reducing the age limit eventually get more registered users that Facebook. The point Google is missing is that 'It is not the no of registered users but it is the no of active users that decide the success of a social networking site. For some one to be active on a social networking site the basic and the only necessity is that it has to engage the user in participating in the site rather than a mere viewer of the site. The more engagement the more success and the user also suggests the site to his friends & family. Person to person publicity is more powerful than anything. The sooner they get this the better. No matter how many dirty tricks you pull no one is going to use the site on a daily basis

Twitter for Every Country

Along with Google the other company undergoing a change is Twitter. Twitter's officials said in a blog post that-

“the ability to reactively withhold content from users in a specific country — while keeping it available in the rest of the world ". Its actually a good thing if a tweet is called illegal it will only be taken down in the country but available all over the world. Twitter won’t just block a user any time a government asks, so activists should still be able to communicate on the network, assuming their tweets don’t run afoul of local laws.
