Windows Phone Could Overtake iOS by 2015

Market researchers at IHS iSuppli have predicted that Microsoft's Windows Phone's share in the smartphones shipped could surpass iOS by 2015 . Its expected to reach 16.7 % by 2015 and regain its 2nd rank in the smartphone OS from current less than 2% share in 2011 . While Google's Android is expected to have 58.1 % share from 47.4% in 2011 . Nokia , after falling to third rank behind Samsung and Apple is trying to regain its lost market share by launching Lumia 900 after the success of Lumia 800 and 710 .

Nokia Lumia 710 Price Drops in India

Nokia's Windows Phone device Lumia 710's Price has dropped in india , the phone now selling for Rs .15-16k on most online stores . The phone was launched in India at a price of Rs.19000 along with Lumia 800 . Its one of the most affordable Windows Phone device now packed with decently powerful hardware . Lumia 710 sports a 3.7" display powered by 1.4Ghz Processor , 512MB Ram and a 5 Megapixel shooter .

Electronics Devices With Components Printed On Plastic

ThinFilm Electronics has announced a technology which will use electronic components printed on a strip plastic . This 'Smart Tag' will feature capability to check the temperature of perishable goods . It will use printable transistors from PARC , memory , battery and a display and will be more accurate and cheaper and low power . In the future the company plans to add wireless modules to its smart tag which will allow the tag to communicate with NFC enabled devices like cell phones .

Twitter Acquires Anti-Malware company Dasient

Famous social networking site twitter has acquired internet security firm Dasient . However, financial details of the deal are not disclosed . "By joining Twitter, Dasient will be able to apply its technology and team to the world's largest real-time information network," Dasient wrote on its blog . Dasient , founded in 2008 specializes on web security problems .

Casio Showcases G-Shock Smartphone

Casio has showcased a G-shock Android powered smartphone . The phone design resembles the G-Shock watch series of casio which are known for its toughness and shock resistance , designed for adventure oriented activities . The phone pictures show that its resistant to pressure upto 1 ton , water resistant upto 1 bar and shock resistant upto 1 feet . The hardware speicifications of the phone are still unknown but its sure to be running Android .

Gingerbread update Now Available For LG Optimus Black

The official gingerbread update for LG Optimus Black has started rolling out for India The phone was shipped with Android 2.2 Froyo which was a letdown considering most phones are shipped with Gingerbread . Finally LG has released the update for the phone . The update installs Android 2.3.4 to the phone . The change log for the upgrade includes :
· Improved power management​

· Enhanced mobile gaming experience​

· Faster UI​

· One touch word selection and copy/paste​

· Better download management​

· New media formats supported like AAC, AVC, MPEG 4 and H.263​

· Misc. improvements include - active app management, shortcuts, widgets, icons, app groups, updated calendar options, camera geo-tagging, better email synching and more precise camera auto-focus.​

·App updates and Google+ is no pre-loaded​

Counter Strike 1.6 Now Available For Android

One of the most popular FPS game, Counter Stike 1.6 is now available on android , this has been developed by people at xda-developers forums who has developed android version for the game using Unity3D engine .Though the Game is not officially available in the Android market . The development is still not fully complete , the current version supports Android 2.0 or above for single player version ( but not ICS ) and the 6p version requires android 2.3+ , ARM v7 and GL1.0+ .

Applied OB GB update last night.

Performance seems a lil faster, specially battery back up looks like improved.

But Don't know if it me only or what, but Home and Theme is not changed. It's still of 2.2 only
