343 Industries take over operations from Bungie.net for Halo

Bungie has said all the power will be transferred to 343 Industries by the end of March.

A post on the Bungie website said, “Bungie will no longer be able to update game stats and player service records, to host new user generated content, or to operate the Bungie Pro service. All currently supported, Bungie-developed Halo titles will be impacted by this change.â€

Bungie games now is working with Activision as their Publisher to produce a new franchise and 343 is working on the new Halo titles, starting with Halo 4.

Prototype 2 delayed by three months on PC

Prototype developer Radical Entertainment have announced what many have been predicting for quite some time. The PC version of Prototype 2 has been delayed by three months to July 24.

Sources close to the the developer say that Radical Entertainment had their hands full with developing the console version and they had no time to finish the PC version on time. The console version releases on April 27th.

Zynga Makes Up 12% Of Facebook's 2011 Revenue

Social network gaming giants, Zynga generated $445 million in revenue for Facebook according to the official documents which were released this past week.

Five of Zynga's games, CityVille (Having over 54 million active users), CastleVille, Texas Hold em Poker, Farmvilleand Empire and allies are among the most widely used game applications on Facebook.

Battlefield 3 sells over Eleven million copies, a new DLC expected to be announced this week

EA Chief Financial Officer Frank Gibeau mentioned that the game has sold over 11 Million copies on all the platforms combined and also mentioned that EA has boosted their Market share in the Western Shooter genre to 24%

Also people are expecting a new DLC announcement this week. The exact quote to lead to that speculate is below.

"You're going to hear some announcements from us on Battlefield actually as early as next week in an event we've got in New York."

Going by Dice's history with DLC's, this will be something very good. Whether it will be Multiplayer content or Single player content is still to be known.

Team Fortress 2 Meet the Pyro being made, top secret project to be revealed this year

A new post on the Team Fortress 2 official Blog gives us not one, but two surprises for this year. All that has been confirmed as of yes is that it won't be a Hat, or a Map. The second surprise will have something to do with the Saxxy awards.

Anyone's guess would be as good as mine right now, on that the two secrets might be, but one thing is for sure, we'll be getting a Meet the Pyro video very soon!

Take-Two has assured reassured investors that GTA V is "making great progress" despite not commenting about the release date at all.

Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick said, "Grand Theft Auto V is making great progress. [GTA V] promises to continue Rockstar's incredible track record of delighting fans by raising the bar in interactive entertainment".

Microsoft says "No new xbox in 2012"

Microsoft won't release a new console in 2012 to compete with the summer release of Wii U says that company french marketing manager.

Cedrick Delmas said that, "What is certain is that there will be nothing new in 2012, and The cycle of the Xbox 360 is by no means complete."

This news will put a lot of rumours to rest which said that Microsoft is preparing a new console to compete with the Nintendo Wii U.

Certain Ubisoft DRM games to be temporarily unplayable

Starting on the 7th of February, certain Ubisoft Mac and Windows games will be unplayable.

Ubisoft has announced that "transitioning the hosting of many of its online services from a third-party data center to a new facility". Sadly enough many of Ubisoft's games require users to be connected to the internet at all times, and those games will be completely unplayable during this period.

Ubisoft has apologized by saying "This move ultimately will help us improve the maintenance of our infrastructure and deliver better uptime and greatly improved services for our customers."

Not all games will be affected by this though. Here's the list.
