Canadian government has drafted an internet surveillance bill and sent it to the committee for amendments. Why is it worse than SOPA?
1. ISP & telecommunications companies need to maintain records upto 1 year of all the activities of their consumer.
2. Government agents can access that data whenever they want without any warrant.
3. The government agents need not be federal representatives. They can be any one, by anyone they mean “Anyoneâ€.
4. Not only they can access the data they can even use any means to copy or reproduce it. E-mail, Photostat ,……
5. All of the above does not require any warrant or any official procedure. The agent can just walk in and email all the info to his mail account sell it to Facebook or twitter. who knows !!
