Guys yesterday i checked my HD (Segate 160G) and the scores were pathetic, will paste the screenshot once i go back home but the results were :

CPU util: 86%

Avg Read 2 MB/sec

Random access : 18.something ms

2MB!!!!!!!!!!!!! mera kya hoga, my system is very slow maybe coz of this...

Can you guys let me know how can I go ahead and check for bad sectors?

and if there are any, how to work around them.?
