Rajesh Vivek, Lagaan actor, passes away after suffering heart attack @ 66

For those who ll find it difficult to recall.. He was the bearded actor of Lagaan (Guran)

Bollywood actor Rajesh Vivek, best known for his role in the blockbuster movie Lagaan breathed his last on Thursday. The revered artist died after suffering heart attack. Vivek was 66-years old and was not known to be in serious medical condition.

Vivek rose as a ground-root artist who worked step-by-step by working hard in each and every role he picked up in the television circuit. He is known for the characters played in television epics Mahabharata and Bharat Ek Khoj.

Although, he was away from the limelight from the past several years, Vivek is still recalled for his role in the Aamir Khan starrer Lagaan, where he played the comic astrologer role of Guranbaba. Apart from Lagaan, he also received critical admiration for his role as the postmaster in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Swadesh

2016 is proving to be a very tough year for the film and music personalities. :(

that krur singh character was so great. the main thing that made that show worth watching (aside from the fact that there was only one tv channel at that time)

I mostly remember him for his 'Maharishi Vyas' role in B.R. Chopra's 'Mahabharat'. His deep voice made him ideal choice to mouth the highly philosophical dialogues.

He also plays the shopkeeper is this ad trying to con 2 village girls into paying more for Coca Cola. Although Aamir Khan steals this ad with his Bihari accent..

RIP!
