Reached home and started testing a bit...

First Up Turnigy 9X
Which may be called a 9 channel radio but its mostly a 8channel radio which operates in 2.4 Ghz freq. Really cheap and highly modifiable. I plan to upgrade firmware, change the module, include telemetry, backlit the display and add voice warnings.

Love the device. Got it for around 54 USD from Hobbyking. Other upgrades and batteries will cost me another 100 and I will have a radio which is capable to be compared to a 800 dollar radio :D

This can be using to fly RC planes, helicopters and gliders

Comes with the 8 channel receiver with it. No manual no documentation... Truly DIY radio IMO

Next we have another good radio set for my RC car (which is capable of around 60-70 kmph :p)

Nice. I have tonnes of this stuff too but now kinda out of it. Still have 2 rc nitro trucks and 4 planes....but have not touched it in years. Even had a Hpi savage first gen but sold it. Also bought and sold a thunder tiger raptor. Me and dad really were into it for quite a few years.
Lovely stuff.

@psyph3r I live in Singapore now... nice monster truck there... I am planning to get a RC sail boat and planes soon...
@Infected I used to build lot of robots for various robotics competitions before and tried building a nitro RC card for IIT mumbai techfest once which didnt turn out so well.. Getting back into the hobby now... Cant fly so planning to buy Simulators to practice flying before buying planes, helis and quads :D

Flying is not so hard but I started on my first glider 3 Ch. when I was about 14 or so. I recommend starting there. I have never really used a sim though my younger cousin who is into this and can fly Helis swears by the simulator. So I don't know. I recommend an easy electric slow flyer.

Well I plan to use the free FMS simulator for now to learn the basics... I really dont want to crash my planes and helis... Also I plan to buy a sim called Phoenix which costs like $ 170 quite expensive but I can use it to test a model before I buy it as its supposed to be really good..

Currently travel on business trip but I might get this when I get back ... A nice RC sail boat :)

His iima chaos video.

Hey Nisarg, I have been good.. Just working here in Singapore now... :)

Cool video I plan to do some aerial videos too once i get the hang of flying...

RC Madness continues...

First up my latest.... Trex 450 Pro V2 DFC flybarless helicopter. Got it 2nd hand assembled and absolutely love this heli. Great deal. Not a beginner helicopter for sure. For that I have a Blade MSR which I will show later.

  • Carbon fibre
  • 450 Flybarless DFC head
  • Hobbywing platinum ESC
  • Microbeast gyro
  • 6s Motor with spare 3s motor

^Damages for this heli?

Well I got it 2nd hand from a guy for 300 SGD

A setup like this can cost the following new
Kit is around 400 USD
The GPS which is the BeatsX Micro beast cost 200 USD
Motor has been upgraded to 6s Lipo batteries so that's another 50 USD
ESC upgraded too which is 100 USD

Sorry found a similar heli in an Indian site... Looks I quoted a bit high...
http://www.rcdhamaka.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_4_105&products_id=1308

So around 31k for a kit version and if you upgrade it like this one maybe around 45k I think
