Finally! After a long wait of almost three months - after numerous calls, emails and followups with ebay global easy buy, my KRK Rokits are here! They are the KRK Rokit RP6G2 monitors.

Initially, I had planned to get the Audioengine A2 for 10K, then decided to get the Audioengine A5 for 20K, then decided to spend a little more for the KRK Rokit RP5G2 for 23K and finally decided on these!

Check them out.

Yes, they are friggin huge an weigh a ton each. Each speaker is almost as big as the MX5021's subwoofer unit.

Initial impressions are very good. They require extremely good source content to shine. So, forget about 128 kbps MP3s. FLAC/CD/MP3 V0 is the way to go with these. Also, the input should be strong enough. Connecting my phone/MP3 player to them caused them to buzz and hiss like crazy. But, when I connected them to my Asus Xonar Essence ST soundcard, they were awesome!

You don't need a subwoofer with these - the bass is unbelievable. Though, I may eventually en up getting the KRK 10S subwoofer :D:D

Still breaking them in though :)

Damages: 29,500 for the pair. The stands came free with them - even the stands are damn heavy. Also included were a pair of XLR cables.

yikes, 29.5k :) i feel much more at ease having spent under 7k for my mx5021s... but they must be worth it. Enjoy and congrats!

Adding a subwoofer should really blow the roof off!

Congrats on the rockit... Also if you are planning to sell off the mx's do let me know... I am looking for a good set of those since ages...

Well, the US seller had shipped the whole thing in 3 packages. GEB delivered only the stands. The 2 speaker packages were missed out and took a long time to track them down.
