I've flashed my Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 from the DDKB1 firmware that came with the phone when brought to the XXKB3 firmware. Here are the changes i've experienced after the flashing.
* GPS is a whole lot faster. Getting a GPS lock in 3-4 seconds almost all the times. Before it usually took some 30sec-1min for getting a successful gps lock.
* Battery life seems to be improved by around 50% (will post in a detailed report after some more testing).
* There was some lag at times in the UI especially while scrolling through the apps screen and lock screen. This seems to be completely fixed in the new firmware. Overall the UI seems to be much snappier now.
These are the initial impressions i had with the firmware. Will update with more as soon as i stumble upon more..
