CPU/Mobo Shootout: 16 CPUs, One Core Each, And 3 GHz

^^ That really isn't necessary as it is not a full fledged shoot-out, it is more of the factor of how Core architecture and fabrication has changed over the year and how this were to impact performance from the point-of-view of a single core per CPU if that process was still being followed in CPU manufacture instead of multi-core designs.

Conclusion says that AMD processors keep up and even better intel in multithreaded apps so the single core performance charts actually make it look a little worse. If bulldozer can improve in this department along with 8 cores and decent pricing it will be quite a killer chip.

BULLDOZER is gonna raze just everything. :p

Chances look slim in the single-thread department, but the module architectures increased FUP [floating point unit] ceiling promises a decent raise in the multi-thread department.
