Should i change anything ?

Thanks.

All fine but why don't you go for Phenom 2 955 BE there is not much difference in performance in phenom 2 965 and 955. why spending around 1k more just for the 3.2Ghz to 3.4Ghz clock speed.

Amd phenom II x4 965 BE -> 955 BE for 1k less

GA 790 fx UD5P -> Overkill?

Corsair 2x2 1333

1TB 64 mb cache WD -> Green

DVD RW [lg]

20" SAmsumg -> Atleast 22"

KB/M-Logitech

CM 310 Elite

550W Corsair -> Overkill, get a VX450 instead.

ATI HD5770 -> Too powerful for a 20" screenie

All inclusive: 57,000/- -> The quote seems very high

Should i change anything ?

Thanks.

You need to change alot there.

Can i know your usage? -> Movies, Gaming or Programming/rendering?

Thanks, I'll think over it.
Do you think the price quoted is good ? These are rates in Pune.

Its 70% Rendering, hd vid editing, processor intensive programs.
30% gaming

Price looks good For price check here Deltapage but one more suggestion i wanna give you that if you are not a AMD fan i will say you to go of i5 - 750 2.66 GHz (Turbo Boost To 3.2 GHz, 8MB Cache) in around 9.8k, performance wise i5-750 is much better than phenom 2 965 and there is not much difference in price. you can search around. but don't be confused:)

For processor go the i-5 way :)

Well, I've already confirmed the order, I couldn't find corsair anywhere in Pune but this one.

I think 5770 is enough power for me, I might downgrade the mobo and get a higher gpu

Thanks but I think I've done a lot of searching, I'll probably just go on with the setup.

My opinion for your PC:

Amd phenom II x4 955 BE : 8250 (Absolut VFM)

GA 785G ~ 4000 (good enough for 8GB Ram in future)

Corsair 2x2 1333 ~ 6000 (4GB for now, 8GB later)

2TB 64 mb WD Black ~ 9500 : Much faster than any indian hard drive (except SSD)

DVD RW [lg] ~ 1100

Monitor 22" ~ 8000 (Rendering and works needs screen space)

KB/M-Logitech ~ 700

NZXT vfm cabinet ~ 2000 (Good ventilation, bottom mount PSU)

Corsair VX550 ~ 5500

HD5850 ~ 15570 (Raw Powah!)

Total ~ 60k : A much better config.

EDIT: Oh you confirmed the order?? 57k is overpriced for the tiny config you got quoted for.

Yes, I went ahead because it is the only authorized corsair reseller in Pune

@fiazio this is much better config than you quoted +1 for this config but you are saying that you have confirmed the order then what to say, now its on your dealer that can he change some stuffs.

Yes I can make some changes here and there

I better you do. and try to match that config quoted by sato1986, it will cross your current config price by 3k but you will feel the difference:)

Thanks, but my budget was 50K I've already crossed it by a 7 K.
Can't put anything more :(

Amd phenom II x4 955 BE : 8250

GA 785G ~ 4000

Corsair 2x2 1333 ~ 6000

1TB Seagate 7200.12 ~ 4300

DVD RW [lg] ~ 1100

Monitor 22" ~ 8000

KB/M-Logitech ~ 700

NZXT vfm cabinet ~ 2000

Corsair VX550 ~ 5500

HD5850 ~ 15570

See the total: ~ 55k And you are paying 57k for a much slower and smaller PC!!! :S Get your quote corrected.

One more thing, do the vendors who provide corsair PSU and rams provide warranty and guarantee. That's the reason I'm spending about 6K on the PSU and another 6 on the ram.

Components Description Price (INR)
Processor Core i-5 750(2.66Ghz, 4 cores) 9950
Motherboard GA-P55M-UD2 6300
RAM Gskill 2*2GB GSkill RAM 5700
HDD 1 TB Seagate 7200.12 Series 4350
GPU Sapphire HD5770 1GB GDDR5 9800
Monitor Benq G2220HD 7800
Cabinet CM Elite 310 1600
PSU/SMPS Corsair VX450 3800
Key Board Logitech MMKB 500
Mouse Gigabyte GM6880 Laser Mouse 900
ODD L.G. GH22NS30 /Samsung SH-S22F SATA DVD-Writer 1100
Total 51800

This is much better than your current config for the intended usage. But since you have ordered already i dont know how much you will be able to chop and change your config.

@sato1986--> Which gigabyte 785G DDR3 mobo are you getting for 4k :S
Even the DDR2 based Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H sells at 4.5k
Gigabyte MA785GMT-US2H sells for 5.4-5.4k and the UD2H sells sells for 200-300rs more.
The main reason for his inflated quote is the mobo. Guess the UD5P costs 10-11k if not more.

Bro the RAMs carry a 10yrs warranty and the PSU carries a 5 yrs warranty.
Guess you are new to performance PC's. You should have had a elobatore discussion with other in the forum before ordering. Now you have ordered and then raising questions about it :S

Yeah, I'm new to computer hardware. I've had a discussion, but anyways I had a talk with the vendor considering Pune I think the rate was fine.
Thanks :D
