Well, first of all it has a terrible software/drivers. I could never open the creative software without hanging and it never usually remembers the settings. secondly, its headphone jack got fried when the static traveled from my earlobe through hd598's cable to the sound card. I live in a cold place where static is a problem, but then all the electronics are usually tested for static.
I do a lot of video chat. and I found that the Logitech C920's mic is way better than the beam forming mic that comes with this card. (I place them right next to each other)
 
Creative SB cards were a fancy & famous during 2000 to 2008 but later when on board sound of motherboards became like stand alone sound cards like todays Asus Z170 Pro Gaming on board Sound systems. Creative SB is not much use now & there are not good drivers for Win 10 or Win8.

Even MSI Gaming motherboards or Gigabyte Gaming motherboards on board sound is much superior than Creative SB or Asus Xonar sound cards.

Nobody goes for them except music industry professionals.

I have a 30k EVGA z170 mobo and my iPhone sounds miles ahead,my friends also say the same, so what r my options here?
