Guys i finally got my PC build and working thanks to phoenix but i am still searching for a good CPU cooler which will fit properly with my specs.

My current specs are:
CPU - i7 975 (currenly using stupid stock cooler)
Mobo - Gigabyte UD5
RAM - OCZ Reaper 6 GB

I only plan to slightly overclock it but not much.

currently using stock intel and get temps like 47,45,45,45 i really dont like it.
So suggest me a CPU cooler which i can use it in push/pull config without interfering my RAM slots as OCZ reapers are tall RAM like the dominators.

I have shortlisted 3 colers - please please help me.

1) Prolimatech Megahalems (have read would interfere with RAM, but not sure)

2) Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus

3) Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme

Price is not a concern but RAM clearance is. please help me to choose.

Olso suggest me the best CPU thermal paste.

1) Arctic Cooling MX-2
2) Arctic Silver 5
3) OCZ Freeze

I would be going for dual FAN

Scythe S-Flex SFF21F 120mm
OR
Scythe Kaze Jyuni SY1225SL12SH 120mm

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I think you should go with Cooler master V8 or V10 they are mammoth of cooling.

V8 will cost you 4.5k

and v10 8to10k price varies.

Hi,

If you install your rams on Dimm 2 onwards than Megahalems will not interfere.

let the push fan face upwards i.e. towards the top of the chasis and use pull fan at the bottom.

More than neccessary cooling.

If you are greedy for more cooling than buy a good Delta 135CFM 30MM fan for push and pull.

Note: you need to buy 30MM fan clips seperately.

Check this out, you will be amazed with the performance of Megahalems.

As Megahalems is Real Big Bro of TRUE, apply OCZ Freeze on CPU and MX-2 on NB/SB/GPU e.t.c

One more thing if you are modder. IF you modd the base of Megahalems than you should get more stunning cooling.

I am too looking for IFX-14 for the LGA1366. According to the reviews IFX-14 wins by a few degrees when pitted against the already famous TRUE and megahalems. Its said to have an advantage of attaching 3x140mm fans.

But unfortunately, that combo is just not available in India as of now. If money is not a constraint get it from KMD. Otherwise, a better and a wiser choice would be TRUE+scythe kaze jyuni 110 cfm + MX2 as said by Robo/Stormy.

Thanks a lot guys, as suggested by you'll, think i should go with

Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme
+
Scythe Kaze Jyuni SY1225SL12SH 120mm
+
Arctic Cooling MX-2

what say ppl?
