PC Peripherals suggestion for a good gaming cabinet for 6-7 K

I have a thread running just a few threads below you for the past few days.

I guess no one cares to reply around here.

Search the forum for a few previous posts or google around.

If you can increase your budget a lil bit, you can get yourself the CM Stacker 810. Absolutely worth it.

Btw, my advice is based only on theory and with no experience. But Coolermasters are your best bet.

Great VFM

Else get yourself a good server case like the zebronics Jamaica/ Huwai /Rock.

People here, on a medium budget like the Chieftec BF02.

@radical

CM 690 is price is 4000 with psc are u sure :S

also price of Antec Nine Hundred - “Gaming Chassis” :)

^ not with psu. you can never be sure unless you are out there with the money.

cm 690 is just being launched in india. so not sure.

But its a mid tower chassis so its price should be around that. If you want el cheapo, get the jamaica for <3000.

Someone plz get those TE price guide people working.

mid-range and high end cabinets don't come with PSUs usually to cut down the costs and offer us customers more options for PSUs.:) Hence CM 690 comes without PSU (i think you mis-spelt it as psc; sorry if i am wrong). The Antec 900 should be around 7-8k...and it also does not come with a PSU.

How is a "gaming cabinet" different from any other?

Gaming cabinets are aimed at high end gamers, hence, they are larger and more spacious than the regular ones; come with more fans/grills etc. most gaming cabinets usually come come with their own special gimmick. take Antec Nine Hundred for example, first cabinet to have a 200mm fan on the top. a product is as good as you make of it:) Price of Antec Nine Hundred is around Rs.8,000/- the damn thing is hard to find.

It is bigger than a BH02 except depth.. that retails for 3.5-3.7k so if the 690 is at 4k then it would probably become the VFM cabby of choice especially with features like the wire organizers and bottom PSU mounting,

Any idea about the when it will be available?

Hmmm 3200 sounds a little too good to be true... I think the guy who posted that was converting directly from its dollar value which is $80 (before rebate) on newegg. 4k seems about the right.

here are some nice reviews of the cm-690..mixed responses i wud say..

Cooler Master CM 690 :: Articles :: www.hardwarezone.com®
Techgage - Cooler Master CM 690
FPSLabs - FPSLabs Home News Story - Cooler Master CM 690 Review

It doesnt look as roomy as the BH-02 from chieftec..also, it seems that mounting an IDE/PATA drive is next to impossible..!!
lots of fans is a plus, but theres nuthing else that seems to excite me in this case..

I think the HardwareZone review was the one which had the most negative opinion about the case, and even then it wasn't that bad. Most reviews claim it to be an excellent case.

Do you mean it would be hard to mount PATA drives due to the sideways position of the HDD cage, thus causing difficulties in cable management?

I think it might be possible to do so from the back of the cage. Will look at the picture and try to see if possible.

On a side note. I was sold out on the fans. But overall, the case looks more of a hassle than a convenience [ i have 4 IDEs :mad:, so i am in limbo ].

btw, its retailing for <$70 online. Dunno how much it has been accepted by enthusiasts.

If only the Antec 900 was as cheap ....
