WTB [tablet] want to buy a tablet only for ebook reading

if you are going to read only text based ebooks, I'll suggest you to go for an eink device only.

currently good offer is going on for kobo glo.

I'll never suggest any kindle device.
they are closely tied to amazon services and you can read books only in amazon propriety formats.
you can't read open format epub.

moreover, know kobo or nook devices are customizable (root/android installation). you can install your favourite eBook readers and syncing apps.

i do wish kindle could do epubs, but without any lending library in India I don't think it really matters if you use Kindle or Nook/Kobo.
Plus you can always convert any ebook into mobi.

With amazon, in India atleast service will be far easier.
And if you really look at amazon ebook prices, they are far better than other ebooks stores.
