damn.....73.5K? Why not a Drobo then??

drobo isnt very known for nas as much as qnap and synology. qnap was way out of budget so had to go for synology which are 1 of the best. Drobo is more for SAN storage afaik.
Also opted for synology as this is the latest model just released end of may. I was suprised it got here so quickly.
It has 4 lan ports which i plan to make use of in link aggregation, no other nas in this budget has 4 lan ports and the read/write speeds the 1513+ are very solid. Not to mention the strong DSM
once you go through the specs and performance you will know why i opted for this
