hey guys !! just thought we should have a thread dedicated to bodybuilding :D: ..I know this combination of geek n bodybuilder is sometimes hard but on TE evrything is possible :eek:hyeah: .
just because i am creating this dont think i am a muscle hunk who works as a bouncer :cool2: lol.... i have just entered in the world of BB so I am a rookie :) ... so if there are ppl who r hardcore bodybuilders they r welcome to give there opinions etc . IN NUTSHELL lets share

~~ progress pics

~~ recipies (for bulking or cutting)

~~ workout routine n exercises

~~ suppliments etc ....

I will start gyming again in September and will keep on doing it even in winter :p

Lately ,even Ive got a family pack :ashamed: ,so this thread might turn out to be useful for me depending on which direction it's headed. :p

Nice initiative here

Iam 5.10" and i weight around 89

That means iam around 10-12 kl over weighted

Whenever i join a gym,i usually leave it after a month so i badly need some insipration/motivation

Got one tyre over my stomach :p

It happens like most of it !

I just had in the same way 92 but my height is 6.1 reduced to 80Kgs in 1 & half month severe diet only 30Gms fat & 100gms of Carb in take intake daily , all u need is to run 4-5kms daily morning in the empty stomach thats all , u need workouts when u lost your weight then u start getting fit .:clap:

Gym is not good for loosing weights .

Ohk, I usually dont get the time(and yeah I am lazy too :ashamed:) so I haven't enrolled at any gym or anything :p. But there is a mini gymnasium with some basic equipment(treadmill,dumbles,bench, Compound Row etc) in my Society but again there is no trainer and I dont want to try it out by myself and do more damage then good.

Anything you guys suggest to start with ? Some basic stuff ..?

I am not looking at getting any packs.. just want myself back in shape :p

and yeah I am around 5 5" and weigh 62-64kgs.

@ faheem- even I am 5.5 or 5.6 sumthin like that n i weigh 62 so i dont think u need to worry ...as acc to BMI its normal :) just play at least one sport .. i chose volleyball n i love it !! :eek:hyeah:

It's not the weight I am worried about but it is the Tyre coming out of my tummy :ashamed: .

I was 231 pounds when i joined GYM . Its been 18 months.. Lost 45 pounds til now. Never maintained diet, but let the body adjust to my normal diet.

Some things to note:

1.Losing in quick sessions is not stable .

2.Dont keep changing your diet .

3.Have food containing fibre .E.g Oats

4.Never touch weight loss capsules

Ok guyz i have been going to a gym for a month now,I have started taking whey protein

as my protein intake from food is very low :(.

I wanted to know how much should i consume it per day ???

Also should i take it in one go or break it down over the day ???

^^ ur protein intake depends upon ur body weight ... if its a 30gm scoop (most prolly) then one in morning n one after workout .... n take it with milk n a frozen banana splly in summers ....cuz after workout your body is desperately needs a mixture of carbs n protein n not protein only ..... it will be better if u give ur full body specs ..:)

btw which whey protein r u using ???

^I think he was suggesting 2 scoops of whey protein powder which most probably contains roughly 45~48 grams (2 scoops are usually 60 grams). Rest of the protein can come from your diet.

I am trying to gain muscles without putting on fat, seems like a really hard work. I have progressed in terms of pushing weights but when it comes to muscle gain it is kind of less.

wats the protein content in one scoop of urs ?? cuz in mine ON gold its 24gm/serving of 30gm... n yup whey is a supplement not a magical powder which will buff u up ... u have to eat whole meals. u have to look into all aspects of bodybuilding

~nutrition

~workout

~ n rest

lookin at ur specs 60 gm is nothing u ought to have at least 120gms of protein .... dont take all of this from whey .
