i need a phone with edge (at least class10) whr i can install gtalk skype etc.

with a good enough screen

so that i can talk to my mostly us based friends (including gf:) )

full sized keyboard will be welcome but not super important

also camera not needed at all

so what do you suggest including that from Chinese makers ??

also plzz tell abt prices and some idea abt places in chennai to pick up mobile at cheapest rate

A splendid camera phone..

unfortunately,it's not released here & you can expect this handset in india only by decemeber end or january !

price is still unknown..but expect it to be 20k+ ;)

As such there's the Nokia N800 tablet which supports Skype..

Only windows mobile powered devices can support skype,gtalk etc..

A few good ones are:

HTC Touch (17.2k)& 3300 (21k)

i-mate JAM (25k)

HP iPAQ hw6965 (25k)

Palm Treo 760 (26k)

Dopod C720W (19k) , 818 Pro (22k) , C800 (34k)

Some come with a camera and/or touch screen & some don't..

personally i don't have in-depth knowledge of Windows mobile phones,so i can only help upto this extent..

or can i use gtalk java based codes to run it on JVM??

i saw it's spec in gsmarena

good enough for me

but donno it's price and availability
help...

also wht abt the cheap chinese phones

i wil probably throw the phone after 1 yr

so dont want to spend more than 8-9k
