Welcome, to the next much awaited reboot of the classical grand strategy game: ROME TOTAL WAR II.

Quam usque vos? Imperator

Genre: Turn based Grand Strategy
Developer: The Creative Assembly
Publisher: SEGA
Release date: 2013 [tentative and needs to be updated]

So after the crazy live action trailer showing the myriad means of entering Rome, it seems PC GAMER managed to get a quick look at a pre-scripted demo preview.

Detailing the final battle of the 3rd Punic War; the preview shows a bunch [a large bunch] of improvements over TOTAL WAR: Shogun 2. The greatest is the level of detail and some more and pile on some more to the mix, with the capability to zoom 1 km[SUP]2[/SUP] high over the battlefield to as close as sitting on the shoulder of a single Centurion [basically a third person view].

Eagerly awaiting on a working video-preview of this new engine in use by Creative Assembly.

is it me or do the screenshots look way similar to age of empires especially the ships and stuff??

Naval combat is in and AoE had Julius Ceaser's campaign. Hence the similarity and it ends here; the scale of the game is much ahead of AoE and the detailed units are testimony to the same.
