6th gen i5 would set you back by ~15K and compatible mobo would be another ~7-8k. GTX970 would be somewhere near 25K mark. Also 8GB DDR4 RAM goes for approx 3.5K. This totals to roughly ~50K. Actual prices may vary by some margin.

I can get the CPU MOBO and RAM this month. Probably get the GTX970 next month alongwith a SSD.[DOUBLEPOST=1456406157][/DOUBLEPOST]How about a AMD Build in this Budget. Will I lose out on performance ?

  • CPU - Intel Core i5 6500 -14700,
  • Motherboard - Gigabyte B150M-D3H -7000,
  • GPU - Zotac GTX970 4GB -25800,
  • RAM- Corsair Vengeance 8GB(4GBx2) 2133Mhz -3500.
  • TOTAL -51,000.
Go with Samsung 850 Evo 120/250/500GB SSD's only. Okay.

@Chaoseater stick to Intel one. AMD have not released any significant processors in desktop category apart from APUs for long time now. Their new architecture code named Zen is approx a year away from being available in market.

Thanks for the inputs. What about in case I want to OC. I want a solid mobo for 6600K. I think I can stretch my budget now.[DOUBLEPOST=1456465182][/DOUBLEPOST]Thanks all for the suggestions.

Update : Will be purchasing in a week. Change in the budget which is max at 40K. Will be pushing GPU to next month, ATM just need a processor, motherboard, RAM and 2TB Harddisk. I have decided on the following
Core i5 6500 - 14800
Asus H170 Pro Gaming Motherboard ( I ll be connecting my Z906 through Toslink to enjoy DTS and Dolby Support for Movies) - 11800
Corsair Vengeance 8GB*2 DDR4 RAM - 5300
Seagate 2TB HDD - 5100
All this will be exclusive of taxes, so add 5.5% VAT in Bangalore, sums up to 39K.

I was thinking about getting Z170 series board where i can OC 6500. Th board should have good audio output through SPDIF.
I was considering MSI Z170 Tomahawk or the Asus Z170 Pro gaming Motherboard.

I am willing to compromise on the HDD purchase this month. Can anyone suggest any other Combo.

TIA
Cheers,
Chaoseater[DOUBLEPOST=1471721005][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, will 16 gigs of RAM will be overkill for current gen games? If its going to be overkill, I can settle down with a 8 gig stick ATM.

^I see Gigabyte Z170 motherboard doesn't have toslink out. I think I ll go ahead with Asus Z 170 Pro gaming Motherboard.

Also, I have a Cooler Master V8 GT. Will I be able to use it or should I upgrade that too. I have read that all LGA 1150 sockets will support LGA 1151. Any inputs ?

Wrong purchase made. Bought a Hyper 212X ATM. Awaiting i5 6600K, will receive tomorrow.

Sweet! Brilliant cable management! And that's a full ATX right? Extra space always helps. I can never manage to get cabling sorted out so neatly!

Quite similar to my setup except I have an ROG VIII Hero with 6600K cooled by Corsair AIO & Corsair LPX 2666Mhz C16 16GB 8x2 sticks powered by the HX650

Yeah thats a Full ATX, the HAF-X makes it look like a puny Mini-ITX board :p. I got the CPU from US and the rest were from India. ATM I dont see a point in getting a liquid cooling. I am running on stock speeds.

Yea I picked up the CPU RAM SSD MOBO from the UAE got the PSU Case Cooler & Monitor here.. saved a neat bit.

Just have the Gfx card to add now
