PC Peripherals UPS issues !!

hey guys, I have a 2year old frontech 600va UPS. And not a gaming PC.

I keep my system on always. Now as soon as power is out, the UPS does not even hold for 5 seconds, It just dies.

Should i try charging it for say 10hours ?!!

does it have something to do with its battery ?

Also please if its screwed up suggest me some new UPS in the same range :) That is 2k around.

^ 2 year old naa.. then definately battery khatam.

Open it up and get it replaced.Dont use the UPS with a dead battery.I used mine for 1 year straight and the terminals started corroding.

Take the old battery to a battery shop and get a new battery with 50/- off. :)
 
Yes, mostly battery is dead. I am surprised it lasted 2 yrs!

My powercom 1kva has already similar issues and its just 6 months old :( .... I guess i should have bought Frontech or APC

EDIT 12/04 - Powercom has a great on-site support. They came and replaced the batteries at no cost.
 
Just found that Powercom has a great service. After i logged a complaint, the engineer came in two days and replaced the batteries with new ones at no extra cost.

Happy with the service!
 
its the problem of the weak or dead batery.replace the same with a god branded one and avoid the unknown and local brands (it will only last to 1 year !!!)
