Windows Urgently need help in creating a CAD 3D drawing

Hello,

I am looking to create a 3D drawing of a clip to hold a ball and socket join of a car spare together. Attached is the picture, i havent used auto cad before. Can anyone help in creating a 3D drawing of the attached image?

Is it for a ball joint ? what exactly is the part. I can see if i can find something similar.

You can try the following

1. Open the bend of the part
2. Take dimensions 1:1 via graph paper
3. Re-do in Catia or drafting software
 
Can you send the Car model details so i can check in a2mac1 and see anyone did reverse engineering of that part and has CAD data attached.

I understand you need urgently
 
Can't you draw the outline in one plane and then bend the shape to match the piece?

AutoCAD I am familiar with cannot work with curves like this. You can try extruding. But curves won't give you an accurate feeling of the shape.

Update :

The best you can do is. try to extrude after defining a path.

i tried creating something similar on CAD, but the 3D printed form was not too flexible and needed further changes after 2 printing attempts. Probably it would be best for me to wait for the clips to arrive from china
