Alright..

This is for my Gal, Max budget is around 15000. Only everything inside the Cabinet.

Already have a 15" Monitor, which will be used for the time being. Later will give my 19" LCD to my Gf.

This is what ive come up with..
X2 3600+ - 3600

Jetway 690G - 3600

RAM 1GB DDR2-667 - 2200

HDD 160GB - 2500

Cabbie + 400W PSU - 1000

Mouse 200 DVD-RW - 1800

Total - 14900
I cant think of anything better and cheaper.

What say guys?!

Gotta pick this up, today afternoon, So.. any suggestions?

Think you have already mentioned the best config you could get for that budget :) ; biostar is not available anywhere afaik

imo go for 512*2 if u r not planning to upgrade the ram later on....makes a good diff on the amd integrated mem controller

Um.. Surfing, Chatting, Photoshop, later after few months, Vegas/Maya/3dsMax.

Also, It should be future proof, to keep running the above programs, atleast for 2-3 years.

Hey Adi,
Thats the best VFM performer rig one can get now.:eek:hyeah:

Man- you are building the PC so no issues.
Get cheaper 533 RAM and run it at 667 Sir.:eek:hyeah:
Invest that saving in a powersafe 400W- i prefer the golden single rail model with 20A on 12v.:cool2:

And i think the mobo+cpu combo is cheaper- '7K' instead of '3.6+3.6-7.2K'.:p

The Jetway board is only 3k here and 3450 for the X2 3600+, and there is not much of a difference between DDR2 533 and 667, 100 bux at the most. Here (chennai) the cost of Transcend 1GB DDr2 667 is only 2100.

Hmm.. I got a quote of 6850 for the Combo.. Good price I guess.

Im buying Dynet DDR2-533. They OC to like 800Mhz anyways :p. WIll run them at 667.
