Need advice on buying a Core i3 (2nd gen) / Core i5 (2nd gen) laptop for my sis.
Usage: To be used for Web surfing, a little of videos and music, and mainly for photo editing work using Photoshop, CorelDRAW and similar. I feel a Core i3/i5 (2nd gen) should be sufficient for this work without any graphics card so looking only on those lines.
Budget: Up to 27k for i3; up to 31k for i5 (both 2nd gen).
Size: 14" or 15", anything will do. Might prefer 14" due to lower weight and smaller volume but open to 15" as well.
Other preference: Good build quality & After Sales Support. I am also a little keen on USB 3.0 support.
My findings;
Core i3
Acer AS4755: 24.8k
Asus K53E: 25.8k
How are Acer & Asus in build quality & ASS?
Core i5
Toshiba C640-X4012: 29.5k - Howz Toshiba?
Dell Vostro 1550: 30.5k
HP Essential 630: 31.3k - Couldn't find this anywhere on HP site, either India or abroad.
None of these have USB 3.0 support.
Please advice on either these, or suggest something else in my price range. Will there be any i5 2nd gen with USB 3.0 support available in the price range?
Toshiba's prices are really good but can anyone comment on quality & ASS of Toshiba?
