Virtual Drive as Normal HDD

I am running windows 7 SP1, I would like to know is there anyway that virutal drive to behave as normal hard disk to other software in computer.

Actually problem is that I am running tally erp 9 which reads data from normal hard disk not from virtual disk (i suppose)
I am having all my data in truecrypt file. Which I mount as drive when I need to access data.
There was no problem until i was using windows xp
But now when I am using windows 7 and try to load data in tally but it doesn't load from that container any more. ( I can access data from drive normally)

Please tell me is there anyway around.

Why not copy the date to some physical location on you disk itself?
Tally isnt design to read from virtual disk and no such licensed software is suppose to as it has to write onto the disk as well.

Cannot copy the data. As if i extract the encrypted data from mounted drive it will leave the mark as unencrypted on hdd.

My mounted drive have read and write acess as it is mounted as hard disk.
